You should compare other reviews from the publisher of the book and do a little research or ask your own professor if you have to buy the newest edition. Ask them specific questions like what is different about the newest edition and why pay $ 80 + when you can buy the earlier edition for $ 1-10. This was a VERY informative and informational introduction to archaeology. It is DEFINITELY for a college level, so be ready for some very involved reading and vernacular, but other than that, great! Everything you want to know about the technical aspects of the field are in here. Really good photographs and models to help further understanding.
